West Tamar Youth Outreach Service
Who?
The West Tamar Youth Outreach Service provides a clinical, holistic, therapeutic outreach service for young people aged 12-25, and their families living north from Legana, Exeter, Beaconsfield and surrounding areas. The program is a voluntary service accessible to young people who are experiencing a range of concerns including; depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship and family issues, sexuality and body image
Eligibility
- Aged 12-25 years
- Located north from Legana, Exeter, Beaconsfield and surrounding areas
- Require therapeutic support to assist with a range of mild to moderate mental health concerns
- Require coordination of care to enhance social and emotional health and wellbeing
- Are willing to engage in therapeutic work
Where?
The program provides an outreach appointment based service in Beaconsfield and Exeter; extended areas can be negotiated upon referral. Appointments can range from face to face, office based or via teleconference. Clinicians can work with young people for a period of 6-12 months, depending on level of need.
How?
West Tamar Clinicians provide comprehensive clinical assessments and interventions focused on 1:1 psychological therapy, family work and case management to assist young people to improve their psychological wellbeing and psychosocial functioning.
Referral
Self-referrals are welcome. GPs, schools, parents and family, and other services can also make referrals.
